LOS ANGELES (September 11, 2026) – The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has acquired a 2026 International Roster Slot from Minnesota United FC in exchange for $150,000 in 2026 General Allocation Money (GAM) and a 2027 Natural 2nd Round SuperDraft Pick. As part of the agreement, the international roster slot will return to Minnesota on December 31, 2026.
The move has allowed the Galaxy to officially activate forward and Designated Player João Klauss from the Injured List. He will now be available for selection ahead of tomorrow's match and is expected to make his long-awaited return to the pitch for LA. Klauss registered five goals in eight league appearances in his first season with the club prior to the injury.
The LA Galaxy kick off the final nine matches of the MLS Regular Season tomorrow as hosts to Seattle Sounders FC on Harry Potter Night at Dignity Health Sports Park, presented by Yaamava’ on September 12 (7:30 p.m. PT, Apple TV). With Klauss' return from injury and the club's recent additions of Hirving Lozano, Kyōgo Furuhashi, Sergi Roberto, Pablo Ruiz, and Lucas Calegari, the Galaxy are primed to push themselves up the table and into position for a spot in the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs.
