Hospital Corpsman Second Class Favour Onwuegbuchu enlisted in the United States Navy in 2024, completing Recruit Training Command and graduating from Hospital Corpsman “A” School. She returned to Navy Reserve Center Los Angeles as a Reservist, training with Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Detachment 5th Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment in Seal Beach. She then graduated from Field Medical Training Battalion West at Camp Pendleton, enhancing her medical skills, resilience, and readiness to serve alongside the Fleet Marine Force.
After transitioning to Active Duty, Onwuegbuchu received orders to 2nd Medical Battalion at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where she will lead Sailors, continue her development in operational and field medicine, and prepare for worldwide deployments.
