LOS ANGELES (October 19, 2026) – MLS announced today that 19-year-old defender and LA Galaxy Homegrown Harbor Miller has been named to his first career Team of the Matchday for Matchday 31 following his performance in the club’s 2-2 draw with Western Conference side San Diego FC at Dignity Health Sports Park over the weekend.
In the 17th minute of an ultimately exciting, back-and-forth first half, Miller drove down the right sideline in transition before crossing the ball towards Erik Thommy at the back post. With his first touch, Thommy slammed the ball into the back of the net for the Galaxy’s second goal of the night. The assist was Miller’s third of the season in league play, and fourth in all competitions. In addition, the LA Galaxy Academy product finished the night with an 83.3% passing accuracy in 81 minutes from the right back position and added one clearance.
Miller has appeared in a career-high 29 MLS Regular Season matches (18 starts) this season, and 33 across all competitions (20 starts). The Fullerton, California native leads the team this season in open play crosses per 90 minutes with 1.3. Notably, Miller is second on the team in high-speed runs per 90 with 39.5, third on the team in intensive runs (51.8 per 90), and fourth on the team in total distance covered per 90 (11.7km).
Miller was called up by the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team for the recent September-October window and subsequently started and played 90 minutes at right back for the Stars-and-Stripes in a friendly against Brazil on October 1. On March 2, 2025, Miller became the seventh-youngest player in club history (17 years, 8 months, 11 days) to make his LA Galaxy and MLS debut.
